The Monroe County Heritage Museum makes several of its historic properties available to rent for special events, meetings or weddings.
Old Courthouse Museum
Have your event or wedding in one of America’s most treasured landmarks. The Old Monroe County Courthouse courtroom, the setting of the courtroom scenes in To Kill a Mockingbird, makes a perfect setting for meetings or weddings. The courthouse and grounds are available.

Hybart House Museum & Cultural Center
Set your next event in the romance and glamour of the Roaring 20s!
One of Monroe County’s most distinctive residences, the Hybart House is a grand 1920s Mediterranean Spanish villa with columns made of stones from Limestone Creek. Colorful local attorney Charlie Hybart built the spacious house which became known for its lavish parties that drew dignitaries and politicians from all over the state. Today that tradition continues as the house is available to rent for weddings, receptions and parties.

Old Bethany Baptist Church at Burnt Corn, Alabama
Bethany Baptist Church was built in 1874 and sits along the Old Federal Road in one of Monroe County’s most picturesque and historic communities — Burnt Corn. Burnt Corn is one of the oldest settlements in Monroe County, and Bethany Baptist has been a part of the community since 1821. The church is open on special occasions only and is available for weddings and family reunions. Call 251-575-7433 for information.
